Large kitchen island from Robson Rak Architects Robson Rak is an established firm of architects currently undertaking a range of residential and commercial projects within the Melbourne metro and Victorian region, Australia. The company was founded by Kathryn Robson and Chris Rak, hence the name Robson Rak. In their portfolio we found this Merricks Residence. It’s a 10-acre farm located in Merricks North, near Melbourne, Australia. The owners, who had two young children, wanted a new house with enough room for their family to grow and enjoy through the generations.
This beautiful residence can be found in the sloping hills of the Santa Monica Canyon. It was designed by Griffin Enright Artchitects, an architecture firm from Los Angeles, CA with more than 25 years of experience. Because of the beautiful environment, the designers wanted to make this house very open and enhance the amazing views. That’s why they also installed a long skylight, which illuminates the interior with indirect light. It also acts as a ‘separator’ between the kitchen and living room. TC Interiors was founded in 1973 by Roberto Gonzáles. The first 20 years of the company were dedicated to the construction and distribution of building materials such as ceramic tiles and concrete. Since 1992 the business’ focus has been shifted to the design and renovation of interiors. This year, the company will be celebrating it’s 40th birthday. One of the designs we found in their portfolio is this industrial loft. It’s a beautiful open space with bare walls and open ceilings that can be found in Rambla de Catalunya, Barcelona.
